It's pollen season, your car's paint has allergies too.

Pollen on your car is no cause for panic, but don't let it dwell too long either...

Ah we love spring... except for the allergies... and that pollen gets everywhere!

The problem with pollen on your car, at first, is nothing much to worry about.

But when it rains on that pollen and creates that mustard-colored paste on your paint, that’s when you need to take action pretty quickly.

Why?

Dry pollen is harmless to your paint, it blows off easily and causes no damage, but once pollen gets wet, a chemical reaction occurs that makes that paste turn caustic and it starts etching into your paint, quickly.

If left for several weeks, the pollen deposits become very resistant to washing off so they can continue to rapidly deteriorate your paint, causing stains, especially along the edges and valleys and your roof where most of the pollen accumulates.

At this point, professional help is usually required to safely remove the deposits without first damage from etching or scratching from unsafe removal methods.

Why does any of this matter?

Like you, I want to preserve my car’s paint as long as possible, and we’d like it to stay as shiny as possible along the way.

We just feel better when driving a shiny glossy car don’t we?

The solution?

My ceramic coating is designed to specifically resist the corrosive chemical compounds in that pollen-paste.

Once you have my ceramic coating, you no longer need to worry about chemical etching of your paint from pollen (or other environmental nasties flying around like bird poop, tree sap, bug splatters, etc.)

You avoid the guilt of not washing your car.

You can simply wash your car about every 2 weeks as normal, and let everyone else suffer the maddening effects of pollen season.

Here’s how it works…

1)You call (or stop by) to pick the best ceramic coating package for you, and schedule your 2-day appointment (don’t worry, we have nice loaner cars for you)

2) Enjoy your protected car for years to come with minimal effort and ZERO ongoing costs!

3) Come back once a year for your free hand-wash and inspection service to ensure your coating is performing to our expectations.

I’ve been solving this problem for car owners since the first ceramic coating was invented back in 2014, and I have more experience than anyone in the entire state at making Oregon car owners proud of their cars with ceramic coatings.

All my work is guaranteed.

Your continued satisfaction year after year is the only thing keeping me in business.

Why Better Transparency Matters in the Car Detailing & Ceramic Coating Industry
By Jason Barker June 8, 2026
Why Ceramic Coating is Mandatory for Matte Satin Paint and Decals There is no denying the dramatic increase in popularity that matte finishes, satin wraps, and bold vinyl graphics have on modern automotive culture. Whether it’s a stealthy aftermarket wrap or an ultra-premium factory finish like Mercedes’ Magno series or BMW’s Frozen paint, a non-glossy surface gives a vehicle a unique and sometimes aggressive look. But buying a matte vehicle usually comes with a massive wave of immediate anxiety for the owner because they're frequently not sure of how to care for this style of paint. Should you use wax, a sealant perhaps, or an off-the-shelf DIY ceramic coating? As a professional detailer who has spent over 31 years in the trenches of preservation-focused detailing, I hear the same questions every single week at my shop in Beaverton: “How do I protect this paint? Can I ceramic coat it? And if I do, is it going to turn my beautiful matte finish into a shiny, glossy, blotchy mess?” If you are asking these questions, you are asking the right things! But there is a lot of misinformation out there. Let’s clear up the confusion once and for all. Not only can you ceramic coat matte paint and decals, but if you want to keep your vehicle looking pristine, a dedicated ceramic coating that is designed specifically for non-glossy finishes is practically mandatory. This blog post is a deep dive into why prevention is your only line of defense, the actual science of how a matte coating bonds to your car, and how we prove it doesn’t add artificial shine.
